License information includes the current active licenses and all pending and expired licenses.

Viewing Licenses from the VAST Web UI

You can view information about all license history on the License page.

From the left navigation menu, select Support and then License.

The Licenses page shows all active and future licenses in a timeline, on the left, and a list of all licenses (including expired ones) on the right.

The timeline on the left shows all active and future licenses, according to their start and end dates (2). The capacity for each license is also shown in the bar representing the license.

Hover over the chart at a selected date to see the licensed capacity all licenses that are active on that date (3) and, in the upper right of the chart (1) the aggregate capacity for the selected date.

The timeline at the bottom of the chart (4) ranges from the earliest start date to the latest end date of all active and future licenses.

You can use the slider bar (5) and the sliders (6) at the bottom to narrow the date range that is shown in the chart.

The list on the right (7) shows all licenses, grouped into Currently Active, Future, and Expired licenses.

The following information is displayed for each license in the list:

Capacity

The usable capacity allowed by the license, in TB. UNLIMITED means the full cluster capacity is licensed.   Dashboard

Period

The period, in months or years, for which the license is valid. The period begins on the start date. UNLIMITED means that the license does not expire.

Start date

The start date of the license period.

End date

The date on which the license expired or will expire. This is calculated by VMS from the start date and period.

Cores

The number of CPU cores covered by the license.

Accelerated Cores

The number of accelerated CPU cores (such as GPUs) covered by the license.

Viewing Licenses from the VAST CLI

To view license information from the VAST CLI, run the license list or license show command.
