Viewing Tenants via VAST Web UI

From the left navigation menu, select Element Store and then Tenants.

For each tenant, the following information can be displayed:

Tip

To display or hide fields, click column_menu.png to the right of a column title, and then click columns.png to open a dropdown where you can select or unselect fields.

ID

The ID of the tenant.

Name

The name of the tenant.

Domain

The domain name for the tenant.

Client IP Ranges

Ranges of client IPs allowed to access the tenant.

Virtual IP Pools

Virtual IP pools that are dedicated to the tenant.

Default share-level ACL

The default 'Everyone' Group share-level permission for the tenant. This default permission affects all views associated with the tenant where share-level ACL is disabled. The permission can be set to read, change or full control. By default, it is set to full control.

Encryption Group

An identifier for the tenant's encryption group, if EKM encryption is enabled. Encryption of Data at Rest

Native SMB authentication

Indicates whether the tenant is configured to use SMB native authentication.Authentication for SMB Access

Logon name of the privileged domain user

The optional custom user name of the SMB or NFSv4 privileged user.

Privileged domain group SID

The optional custom SID that specifies a non-default SMB or NFSv4 privileged group.

BUILTIN\Administrators group name

Custom name for a non-default SMB privileged group.

Enable privileged domain group restore access

  • Enabled (default). The SMB privileged user group has read and write control access. Members of the group can perform backup and restore operations on all files and directories, without requiring read or write access to the specific files and directories.

  • Disabled. The SMB privileged user group has read control access. Members of the group can perform backup operations on all files and directories without requiring read access to the specific files and directories. They cannot perform restore operations without write access to the specific files and directories.

Enable privileged domain user restore access

  • Enabled (default). The SMB privileged user is enabled.

  • Disabled. The SMB privileged user is disabled.

Enable privileged domain group backup access

  • Enabled (default). The SMB privileged user group is enabled.

  • Disabled. The SMB privileged user group is disabled.

Active Directory

The Active Directory domain connected to the tenant, if applicable.

LDAP

The LDAP server connected to the tenant, if applicable.

NIS

The NIS provider connected to the tenant, if applicable.

Local Provider

Specifies the local provider used for the tenant.

POSIX Primary

Specifies which provider takes precedence over other provider(s) in case of any conflicts between attribute values when user information is retrieved from the providers.

Login Name Primary

Specifies the primary provider for the user's login name.

NFSv4.2 Protocol Support

Indicates whether NFSv4.2 protocol support is enabled for the tenant.

Allowed for SMB

Indicates if the tenant supports SMB access.

A tenant is shown as Allowed for SMB if the Active Directory provider which is associated with the tenant, is configured to allow SMB access.

Viewing Tenants via VAST CLI

To view all tenants from the VAST CLI, use the tenant list command. To view details of a specific tenant, use the tenant list-remote command. To view tenants on remote peers, use the tenant list-remote command.
