Stopping Protected Path Restore

You can abort a restore as long as you haven't committed the restore yet. This is called stopping the restore.  

After the restore is committed, there is no way to revert the restore.

Stopping a Protected Path Restore using the VAST Web UI

  1. From the left navigation menu, select Data Protection and then Global Snapshot Clones.

  2. Identify the global snapshot clone created for the path restore, named <protected path name>-<restore>. Right-click the global snapshot clone and select Stop.

  3. In the confirmation box, click Stop again.

    The restore is stopped.

Stopping a Protected Path Restore using the VAST CLI

To stop a restore using the VAST CLI, run the globalsnapshotclone stop command.
