Resetting Quota Grace Period

Grace period is a user-defined period of time during which clients are allowed to exceed the soft limit defined in an applicable quota or group of quotas before an alarm is raised and write operations to the path are blocked.

You can reset the quota grace period as follows:

  • For an individual quota:

    • In VAST Web UI, right-click the quota in the Quotas page (Element Store -> Quotas), and select Reset Grace Period.

    • In VAST CLI, run the quota reset-grace-period command.

  • For a quota group:

    • In VAST Web UI, right-click the quota group in the Quota Groups page (Element Store -> Quota Groups), and select Reset Grace Period.

    • In VAST CLI, run the quotagroup reset-grace-period command.
