You can monitor VAST Database performance and capacity as follows:
On the cluster's dashboard in the VAST Web UI, select VAST DB in the Performance widget to display the following database metrics:
Bandwidth. The rate at which data is transmitted between the client and VAST Cluster.
Running. The number of currently running database queries.
Scanned. The number of database table rows scanned per second.
Use predefined analytics reports, which can be found under Predefined Analytics in the Analytics -> Analytics page in the VAST Web UI:
VAST DB Latency: Shows the number of running queries and the average duration of a query run on the VAST cluster.
VAST DB Bandwidth: Shows the number of returned or read bytes per second.
VAST DB Rows: Shows the number of rows that were scanned, imported, deleted, updated, inserted or filtered out per second.
VAST DB Requests: Shows the number of requests per request type (query data, import, insert, update, and delete).
Create a customized analytics report using various database-related metrics.
Tip
When creating a customized analytics report via VAST Web UI, search for VAST DB keywords to filter Available Properties for database-related entries.
View capacity analytics on the VAST Database views in the Analytics -> Capacity page.
The analytics includes usable and logical capacity, as well as data reduction.
