Managing Uplink Users

You must be an Uplink super user to add and manage users.

Creating Users

  1. Browse to your Uplink portal (<subdomain>.cloud.vastdata.com).

  2. Log in using your super user's email and password.

  3. In the Uplink portal, select the Users tab.

    A list of users appears.

  4. Click + Create User.

  5. In the fields provided, enter the name of the new user and the user's email address.

  6. If the new user must be a super user, enable Superuser.

    A super user can manage other users for the subdomain and register clusters to report to Uplink.

Modifying Users

  1. Browse to your Uplink portal (<subdomain>.cloud.vastdata.com).

  2. Log in using your super user's email and password.

  3. In the Uplink portal, select the Users tab.

    A list of users appears.

  4. Right-click the user you want to modify, and select Update user.

  5. In the Update user dialog, edit the user's name or enable the Superuser setting.

    A super user can manage other users for the subdomain and register clusters to report to Uplink.

  6. Click Update to save the changes.

Deleting Users

  1. In the Uplink portal screen, select the Users tab.

    A list of users appears.

  2. Right-click the user you want to delete, and select Remove.

  3. Click Yes to confirm the deletion.

    The user is removed.

Resetting User Passwords

To reset your password, use the Forgot Password option in the login screen. You can also request a password reset from a super user. If you are locked out of your account, only VAST Data Support can unlock your account for you.
