Joining Active Directory via VAST Web UI

  1. From the left navigation menu, choose User Management and then Active Directory.

  2. Open the Actions menu for an Active Directory configuration that specifies the domain you want to join, and choose Join.

  3. Enter a user name and password for an admin user with permission to join the Active Directory domain. (These credentials are used only for a one time connection and not stored on the cluster.).

  4. Click Join. This may take a few moments. When the cluster has joined the Active Directory domain, the status displayed in the Joined State column changes to Joined.
