Handling Indestructibility Alarms

Alarms are issued in the following situations. Some may require action to prevent security breaches:

A protection policy was flagged indestructible but the indestructibility password has not been changed from the default value.

Until the password is changed.

Immediately set a secure indestructibility password.

A user initiated a restore of the indestructibility password to default.

Duration of the password restore delay period.

If the restore was not initiated by an authentic VMS user who is trusted to unlock the indestructibility mechanism, contact VAST Support during the delay period for assistance.

The indestructibility mechanism was unlocked.
