Monitoring Replication Tasks

After you create a replication configuration, VMS performs all tasks on all of the participating connected clusters that are required to complete the configuration of the replication group:

  • Creates a replication peer on the source cluster for each of  the destination peers.

  • Creates any protection policies that you supplied the configuration for on the relevant clusters.

  • Creates protected paths on all of the clusters with replication streams between the peers in the group as needed.

To monitor replication tasks:

  • Select the Tasks tab. The following columns are displayed:

    Creation Time

    Time of task creation.

    Task Name

    The name of a task.

    Cluster Name

    The cluster on which the task needs to run.

    State

    The state of the task:

    • Pending. The task has not yet begun.

    • Ready.

    • Failed. The task failed.

    • Running. The task is currently running.

    • Done. The task is complete.

    Dependencies

    The tasks that must be completed before this task can be done.

    The tasks are shown in the table until two hours after the last task is completed.

You can use the right-click menu to export any row or selected rows to a CSV file.
