Joining Active Directory from the VAST Web UI

  1. From the left navigation menu, choose User Management and then Active Directory.

  2. Right-click the Active Directory configuration that specifies the domain you want to join, and choose Join.

  3. Enter a user name and password for an admin user with permission to join the Active Directory domain. (These credentials are used only for a one time connection and not stored on the cluster.).

  4. Click Join. This may take a few moments. When the cluster has joined the Active Directory domain, the status displayed in the Joined State column changes to Joined.
