Creating a Default User QoS Policy

Creating a default user QoS policy enables the user QoS policy functionality on the VAST cluster.

A default user QoS policy is created per tenant. A tenant can have only one default user QoS policy.

When a default user QoS policy exists for a tenant, assigning a new user QoS policy to a user on the tenant would override the settings of the default policy for that user.

To create a default user QoS policy:

  • In VAST Web UI, toggle the Is default User QOS Policy option on when creating or modifying a user QoS policy.

  • In VAST CLI, run the qospolicy create or qospolicy modify command with the --is-default option specified.
