When protocol auditing is enabled globally and required settings are set (including the audit directory name), you can optionally configure additional protocol auditing per view policy. If auditing of a protocol or a given set of protocol operations is enabled globally, it is enabled for all views. If auditing of a protocol or operations is not globally enabled and you enable it in a view policy, then such operations will be audited on any views using that view policy.
