This guide describes the administration of a single tenant on a VAST cluster. It describes the tenant administration features that can be accessed at the tenant-specific VAST Web UI by cluster managers with type Tenant Admin.
A tenant admin user is a manager user that may be provisioned by a cluster admin user or another tenant admin user.
Depending on RBAC permissions, a tenant admin user may be able to perform these activities on a specific tenant of a VAST Cluster:
Create and manage client users and groups for the tenant.
Create and manage tenant identity policies and S3 keys, and associate them with tenant client users and groups.
Create additional tenant admin users for the tenant.
Create and manage buckets. Tenant administrators can create S3 buckets and view buckets created on the tenant by client users.
Create and manage views that share buckets, and regulate access with view policies, quotas, and lifecycle rules.
Create and manage VAST Databases.
Enable and manage VAST DataEngine and VAST DataEngine application users.
Configure data protection and global access features on paths in the tenant's namespace.
View analytics information for the tenant, including data flows, metrics, and capacity statistics.
