Checking the Audit Log

The Audit Log displays a variety of recorded actions related to the security of your Uplink site, including successful and unsuccessful logins, user creation, and so on.

Enable Update data in real time to view the audit log in real time. If disabled, the audit log is not updated.

The following information is provided in the audit log:

Date

The Date, timestamp, and time zone of the logged event.

Email

The email address of the user that performed the action, such as a login.

Cluster

Audit events that are related to a particular cluster will have an entry in the cluster column.

Endpoint

The target endpoint of the action.

Host

The host where the endpoint resides.

Message

The status message as the outcome of the logged action.

Method

The HTTP method used to do the action:

  • GET

  • POST

  • DELETE

  • PUT

User Role

The role of the user that performs the logged action:

  • Root. A user with root privileges.

  • Support. A user from the support team.

  • Admin. An administrator.

Severity

The severity of the logged event:

  • Info. This is an information-only event with no critical impact.

  • Error. This event indicates an error state.

  • Warning. This event is of sufficient criticality to rate a warning.
