Creating a Local Provider using the VAST Web UI
Navigate to User Management in the VAST Web UI, and then select Local Providers.
Click Create Local Provider.
Enter these details for the provider:

The name for the provider, as it will appear in the list in the Local Providers page.
Description
A description for the provider.
In the section Which admins can manage users and groups, select from these (more than one can be selected):
Cluster admin
VMS Cluster admins can view and manage users for this provider.
Tenant admin
VMS Tenant admins associated with the provider can manage users for this provider. Tenants admins are managers who can administer a specific tenant on the cluster. They are associated with providers in the Tenants page (in Element Store).
Tenant admins can view users in the tenant they administer, even if they are not assigned to manage them.
Click Create. The provider appears in the list in the Local Providers page.
Modifying a Local Provider using the VAST Web UI
Navigate to User Management in the VAST Web UI, and then select Local Providers.
Select the provider to be modified, right-click and then select Edit.
Make changes to parameters for the provider, as necessary, and then click Update.
Removing a Local Provider using the VAST Web UI
You can remove a Local Provider if it is not associated with a Tenant, and it has no users or groups.
Navigate to User Management in the VAST Web UI, and then select Local Providers.
Select the provider to be modified, right-click and then select Remove.
Managing Local Providers using the VAST CLI
You can manage Local Providers in the VMS CLI, using the localprovider command:
